The short story (except for the ice-cream part):
- Cloudy
- Double-decker bus tour
- Museums
- VIBRANT city! Construction and renovations – old and new
architecture amazing.
- And did I say Museums?
- Several Embassies
- Elegant gardens and landscaping
- Public signs in French and English (unlike Montreal - only French)
- More museums – must take years to visit all
- Delicious late lunch at the Metropolitan Brassiere and then a walk
- Drawback: no
ice-cream shops AT ALL ! Now I’m wondering
‘what kind of city is this?’ Returned to “The
Market” to find ice-cream. Found pastry/bon-bon shop with ice-cream. Selected “Sticky
toffee pudding” ice-cream. Good but not like real Sticky Toffee Pudding.
- Rain started around 3:30. Back at boat.
- Walked over to Westin tonight and visited a HUGE shopping mall off their 3rd floor. Too many upscale shops for this girl - but I'll consider it if coaxed.
