Our cruise was beautiful and we had lunch underway. No alcohol when in Canadian waters but we did imbibe in celebration of arrival and hookup (doesn't take much for us to celebrate). Our friends Bill and Kate (Lady K) and Joe and Deb (Private Stock) greeted and helped us dock ... PHEW! As I said, Kingston is tough docking and it was VERY windy upon arrival.

After cocktail hour with the above, we were off to dinner at Curry Original - a favorite "must" of ours when in Kingston. We ran into Mike and Sue (Angel Liz) and Toby and Linda - former marina-mates - who are staying on Angel Liz. Toby and I share a birthday and we loved seeing them again. It has been 5 years since they moved to Florida. After dinner we stopped to hear a band in the park and then there was that stop at the Gelato shop. I felt compelled to be polite and go along the other's excessive indulgence. We bought wrist bands to gain access to all the Blues shows to which we will not go. As I said in my former post, we rarely see the bands. Dan Akroyd lives here and one year we waited for him at a club. He came in at 1:30 a.m. and truly rocked the place. He was a large man and when he threw his whole body into playing the harmonica and dancing ... well, it was just something you had to see and feel. WOW! Another year we met him at Chez Piggy Restaurant and thanked him for all the years he entertained us. His response: "I had a good run." I think he's had a few runs since then.

It is really an early night - the bands are still going - but we're at the end of K dock (as always) and the people I am with are old. They are talking about going to bed. So, again, I will acquiesce to their wants.. Just to be nice, I will go to bed before they do so they don't feel too bad. Pleasant Dreams....
